People of Color and Their Constraints to National Parks Visitation

This issue brief explores how existing data suggests that people of color visit national parks far less than Whites, and why this is the case. Causes include limited socioeconomic resources, cultural factors and boundary maintenance, discrimination, and White racial frames.
