This desktop HIA examined the impacts of a proposed zoning change in Omaha to support active transportation options. The City of Omaha Planning Department was considering creating a zoning classification for walkable mixed-use neighborhoods and requested an HIA on how this zoning might affect health. The HIA examined how the proposed zoning changes would affect health determinants such as walkability, housing affordability, and transportation costs.
