The Complex Intersection of Race and Rurality: The Detrimental Effects of Race-Neutral Rural Health Policies


This journal article explores the experiences of two women from the same rural area, one White and one Black, highlighting compounding disparities in health and health policy for People of Color. The authors advocate for policies that are both place-intentional and race-intentional to address the unique health needs of all rural residents and combat systemic biases.
