This is a validated direct observation tool for observing physical activity and associated environmental characteristics in open-ended play settings for children. Users collect objective data on things like the number of participants, physical activity levels, leisure opportunities, gender of participants, types of activity, and area characteristics (such as accessibility, usability, level of supervision, organized activites, and available resources).
