Population Well-Being Measures Help Explain Geographic Disparities In Life Expectancy At The County Level

Although race and socioeconomic disparities contribute greatly to geographic disparities in life expectancy, they do not fully explain the differences in life expectancy. This study investigates whether population well-being—a comprehensive measure of physical, mental, and social health—helps explain geographic variation in life expectancy.
