This report focuses on the utilization of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) as a tool to evaluate the potential health effects of proposed climate change policies in the United States. It discusses 12 specific HIAs conducted in six states, highlighting how HIAs facilitate stakeholder engagement, provide health-promoting recommendations, foster cross-sector collaboration, optimize health co-benefits, and increase awareness among decision makers regarding the health impacts of climate policies.
