This resource discusses the launch of the Center for Healthy Communities by The California Endowment in April 2006 to advance community health by bringing together community leaders, health providers, advocates, and policymakers. As a part of this initiative, a curriculum was created to teach public health leaders how to engage with the news media to promote community health strategically.
