Apprenticeships allow people to get hands-on experience and learn how to do a job. These positions are sometimes paid and create a path to a career. Ideally they are paid a living wage. Apprenticeships particularly benefit people who do not have college degrees or who want skills that are not taught in school. One way to fund this is for governments to offer money to businesses that have apprenticeship programs. This money can include tax credits, money for equipment and resources, or grant funding to hire apprentices.
