This health impact assessment used environmental quality and housing data from the City and County of San Francisco to evaluate how health benefits of energy efficiency retrofits vary with levels of exposure and type of improvement. The assessment estimated that standard upgrades would reduce deaths from ambient fine particulate matter by 4 percent.
