An economy that has full employment means that anyone who wants a job can get one. In the United States, millions of people are currently unemployed. These individuals are able and willing to work. People of color are more likely to be unemployed than white people. The federal government could set up a public service employment program. This would make sure that everyone who wants a job, has a job. This program would provide workers with living wages, putting them above the national poverty level. This would make sure they can afford basic needs like housing, food, and healthcare.
