Adopt a Growth Management and Land Use Plan that Includes Health Considerations

OBJECTIVE: Obtain approval for a revised growth management and land use plan with health as a consideration.
STATUS MARCH 2017: The task of updating the Growth Management and Land Use Plan has been assigned. Planning Department staff has begun the discovery phase of the project, attempting to identify the best strategy, given the limited resources, to accomplish the desired outcome. The outcome will be limited, by the budget, by the resources available and by time. The extent of these resources and variables are still under review and debate.

STATUS JUNE 2017: Prior to drafting the Request for Proposals (RFP), interviews were conducted with a number of stakeholders, including the Planning and Zoning Commission members and staff members to gain insight into top concerns and issues that need to be considered as we move forward. To date, we have a solid draft of the RFP prepared and are working on creating the RFP evaluation matrix and selecting the RFP evaluation committee members. We anticipate solicitation of the RFP over the month of July.
