Staff Contributor: Stacy Wegley

Stacy Wegley, MS, (she/her) has been a Contributing Creator for Community Commons since 2015, sharing her expertise in dialogue, meaningful community engagement, collaborative team development, and using data and stories to catalyze change. She is most passionate about amplifying community voices, lifting up community progress, and fostering shared sense-making for collective action.

Stacy has more than 20 years experience serving as a leader in public health advancing the healthy, equitable communities movement. Currently, she shares her time as a Senior Associate with Community Initiatives and as the Director of Field-Building and Collaborative Learning for the Institute of People, Place and Possibility (steward of Community Commons). Previously, Stacy served as Director of Health Promotion and Education for Hamilton County Public Health where she led several national investments, including the CDC’s Strategic Alliance for Health and Communities Putting Prevention to Work, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Healthy Kids Healthy Communities regional initiatives.

Stacy resides in Cincinnati, OH, where she is a photographer and Women of Cincy storyteller, celebrating and motivating communities and their change agents. When she’s not catalyzing community change, Stacy can be found hiking, kayaking, enjoying campfires with friends, and creating life with her wife and puppy, Milo.
