Our goal is to continually encourage the human element to commit and care for the commons.

The meaning of commons: local resources belonging to all and to be shared by all creatures. We are responsible for its quality through maintenance and appropriate enhancements.

Our vision: To operate an innovative environmental education and demonstration center serving all ages where we provide a visible model for sustainable resource use.

Our office is located in downtown Frederick, Maryland adjacent to Carroll Creek and the Linear Park. Our geographic focus is the Monocacy River and Catoctin Creek watershed's located in central Maryland. We implement the majority of our events and projects within the boundaries of Frederick County, Maryland.
