We need strong democratic processes to make sure free and fair elections happen. A free election is when all citizens can vote for the candidate of their choice. A fair election is when all votes have the same power and are counted in the right way. If we stop voter removal, end gerrymandering, and protect elections, then free and fair elections can happen. Free and fair elections are important for democracy. They make sure that representatives are chosen by the people. Fair elections include making sure that everyone can register to vote, and either go to a polling place or vote another way. It also means that people can vote without being threatened. Voters should have a way to get all the same and right information. Voting should not have fraud. All votes should be counted in the right way and the correct results should be given to the people.
